I like the idea of this photograph, but there is something lacking. Is it too dark? Should I have waited for a cloudy day? It's near my home, so I can go back again and again to see if I can do a better job than this.

The concrete should be on Zone VI(well, that's what Ansel always said and I have found it to be mostly true) ie. 1 stop more exposure than the meter is averaging for. Concrete is difficult to meter accurately!

DeleteIt looks a bit flat to my eyes. Don't know if that's an exposure or a lighting thing. I guess if it's close by you could try it in different lighting conditions and see which you like best.
